I'm wondering what everyone thinks the bracket will look like for the region?
Assuming that TNU or Cumberland U wins the Transouth, and Cumberlands wins the MSC.
#1 Cumberlands
#2 TNU
#3 Cumberland
#4 Lambuth
#5 C-Ville
#6 FHU
I think that even if C-Ville wins the MSC that Cumberlands will be #1, same with Cumberland winning the TSC, I think that TNU will be #2. How does everyone else think the rest will fall? |

there wasn't a whole lot said on here about the Region XI tournament. I just wanted to make a few random comments.
1. University of the Cumberlands needs to start scheduling somebody during the regular season. They were manhandled in the tournament and had an embarrassing showing for a number one seed.
2. Lambuth had no business in the Region tournament. They ended up the season by losing six games in a row. How they finished second in the TSAC is beyond me.
3. Trevecca still hasn't learned how to step up their game come tournament time.
4. Martin Methodist had a great season and were much better than last year's squad. They really came to play and 3 of their 4 tournament losses (conference and region) were to Cumberland.
5. Campbellsville is always tough at tournament time.
6. Never count out Woody Hunt and the bulldogs.
7. Cumberland really needs to get lights. |

Ain't it the truth. The shame of the whole situation, as I understand it, and please correct me if I am wrong, is that there is one hold out in the neighborhood and Woody simply doesn't want to cause ny problems with the community. CU baseball is a wonderful ambassador for the community and could really have a significant impact on community involvement if they were able to play at night. I would love to pack up the kids and a dinner and watch a game under the lights. In fact, I would love to go to a game period, but due to no lights, I have missed the entire Region tourney and will miss the Super Region.
The city is behind it, even offering to provide the labor to install them if CU were to invest in it. Yet one person who is afraid of a little noise every now and then has put a man with more integrity than I will ever hope to have in a position that limits his team and his community.
It is a shame. _________________ You see, you spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. --Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970 |
