Thanks for all the participation again this year. I really enjoyed bringing the Pick'em contest back and we'll definetly repeat it next year.
I decided to call it after round one of the tournament due to timing and the inability of many to get a post in with in 12 hours time. So, with no further ado, after consistent picks and a hard charge in week 9 and the post season, the winner of the 2008 TSAC Pick'em contest is.....................
Crash Davis
For his insightful picks, adept knowledge of all things TSAC Baseball, just plain 'ol dumb luck, Crash wins nothing more than the accolades of his peers and self satisfaction that he won a rather meaningless, yet fun, contest.
Crash, If you are looking for a peer, look up NC2004. He won the exact same thing last year.
The final results were:
Crash Davis +67
NC2004 +57
Dawgs Rule +55
TSAC Blue +53
DawgsGetItDone +49
CU Guy +48
Roger Dorn +47
Dale Corgin +43
bigfatguy +43
tx13 +37
TNUTrojanfan24 +36
just a has been +33
cats +31
NAIA Starter 85 +6
Nike Baseball +6
Babe Ruth +5
oldschool54 +3
Congrats also to NC2004 for his runner up status. Not a bad 2 year average.
Thanks again for playing and see you all in the discussions for the region.
TNUTrojanfan24, I'll see you at the region. _________________ You see, you spend a good piece of your life gripping a baseball, and in the end it turns out that it was the other way around all the time. --Jim Bouton, Ball Four, 1970 |

Good job Crash, 10 run rule.
To make myself feel better I am blaming my bad performance on the bad weather. Maybe next year all of the conference games will be played.
Thanks Dawgs for doing this. It is meaningless but fun. |

First of all I'd like to thank all of you for the tough competition. Second, thanks Dawgs for keeping up with the points/scoring each week. I almost feel as though there could be an asterisk along with the title due to all the weather. With all that being said, I think my recipe for success was a little bit of mind, a little bit of heart, and a little bit of luck. Thanks again, looking forward to next season already. Hopefully Cumberland's season isn't over for a while. Go Dawgs. |
